Hello ..I was misdiagnosed, many years ago, then poly drugged, which included benzodiazepines.  I was cold turkeyed in March, 2016, from not one, but two benzodiazepines, that I'd been prescribed for close to 10 years (I didn't know that was bad, and this was a doctor that really did not know me) ..after almost 5 months, I am now back on 2 mg. of Clonazepam (Klonopin), at bed time ..and, having made my doctor aware of the "Ashton Manual," we will start tapering, at some point.  I am here for information ..thanks

I am glad you found us today.The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks. A slow gradual taper is the best way to minimize symptoms.

 

 

You might like to check out The Ashton Manual it is an authoritative source on what to expect in withdrawal and recovery.  Dr. Ashton is an expert in the field.
