Two years of tapering

I'm joining Benzo Buddies for information and support. I started my taper just short of two years ago, when I was on a combined dose of clonazepam and alprazolam of 4 mg every night. I currently take 0.5 mg of clonazepam and 0.5 mg of alprazolam at night. I have been taking benzos, as prescribed, for more than three and a half decades. I'm interested in learning more about the Ashton method, especially since I have been having trouble with panic attacks in the past month, and that's making it difficult to go anywhere or do anything. My most recent decrease was two weeks ago, when I decreased my clonazepam from .75 mg to .5 mg.

I am glad you found us today. Congratulations on your taper so far. The recommended reduction rate is 5 to 10 percent every two weeks.
