Clonazepam to Diazepam but Diazepam makes me worse?

I have been on Diazepam 10mg for 16 years and Clonazepam 0.5mg for 7 years, so on 2 benzos at the same time.

 

I would like to swap to Diazepam only but here is the really strange thing.....If I increase my dose of Diazepam my anxiety gets worse, any ideas to why this is, I mean even by adding 1mg to my daily dose of Diazepam makes me more anxious?

Don't know why you are so reactive to increased V. Maybe you need to swap the other direction, V to K. But beware the dosage equivalency.

Have you tried tapering down one or the other just from where you are? That seems like it would be easiest.
