[Lo...]
Aw, I hope your day gets better, LM. Yes, a table full of real sweets would hit the spot right about now. It's raining and Lexi is going to want to go for a long walk tonight. Oh, well. Time to get out the rain gear and the winter coat. Just waiting for a window to open up! I had no idea it was raining...my building/office has no windows. We would have to go onto the roof level or down to the main foyer. I went on our virtual window...yes a virtual window and saw the rain.

I work for a small non-profit right now, and I can see out the window. I'm looking for another job that will actually pay the friggin' rent in DC, so I'm sure I'll lose my window when I find another corporate job. Oh, well. Can't have both - a window and a decent paycheck. Why oh why oh why!

[...]
Hey Mind, thanks for asking ... three months feels great considering I still count the days each day! Unfortunately, I've never known the meaning of a window. :'( Can't wait to experience one, I think I'll be full out dancing in the streets ... all physical sx but oh, so debilitating! But, hey, this is the happy thread so I'll save my moaning for elsewhere ... going to have more tea and dessert now! Help yourself! http://s3.amazonaws.com/assets.prod.vetstreet.com/2e/0a/6c9a51e24101b74df418fdadac8e/cat-tea-party-istock-000005197348small.jpg http://cdn2.blisstree.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/tea.jpg width=320 height=240http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0x_yfxgGNTk/UBMI-xFc0WI/AAAAAAAAAjU/Pk9Kv4N0HMg/s320/Mad+Hatters+Tea+Party+009.JPG[/img]
Guest [Mi...]
Awww, I'm sure windows will come your way, abcd. I only get partial ones (still got the dp/dr really bad), but I know our day will come. Thanks for the goodies. I sooo enjoyed your party.
[lo...]
Hi folks Sorry to hear you hear you are all struggling. I wish I knew where you find your pics, abcd!! I've never been sure about waves or windows either. I am sure we don't use these words in any standard fashion. I have had a few episodes of feeling a significant change over the past 19 months and these have lasted a few hours or 3-5 days. This is my longest and most significant window. 10 days now. I feel almost normal at times!! I can't imagine not having a window at work. How awful. That can't be good psychologically. Do you get out at lunchtime? I wonder how much our health is affected by our way of living. Large conurbations, anonymity, social isolation, etc etc. When I was a child we stayed in the country, did not lock our doors and knew everyone. It was also isolated though!! And we had little money. I guess every era has pros and cons. Sorry for the reflective mood. Mensa Cat is in bed with a sore tummy. Now he is talking about Lexi's birthday party and Hallowe'en. I can't keep up. What is a partial window? Hugs LF
Guest [Mi...]
Hey, LF. You make good points. That's why I like hanging out here - you do make good points. Umm. . .the definition of partial window. Well, for me a partial window is when I have certain symptoms such as fatigue and memory problems that go away, but I still have dp/dr, tinnitus, head pressure, blurry vision, and benzy belly. So a few less problems. I really want a complete window!!! Wide open!!! P.S. Lexi and I are excited about her birthday. I ordered her some special treats and they came in the mail yesterday. I already gave her some early because she's had to put up with me all summer. She's my buddy.

I guess we do not express much emotion about anything. We tend to be rather gloomy. That is the stereotype anyway and it is true to a certain extent. Maybe it is the weather. A bit introverted. We don't get excited about things. If you follow tennis, Andy Murray is a very good example!! Hugs LF

Yes, just wondering how atypical I am!! We don't do ostentation at all. Everything understated. Not like the US at all.
Guest [Mi...]
Yeah, the US can be a bit over the top. And we're medicating so many of our kids with ADHD meds (stimulants) that we're making them bipolar. 10% of kids medicated with stimulants turn bipolar. Really sad. It's a freakin' epidemic over here. The USA - manufacturing mental illness one brain at a time! But onto happier things - like Lexi's party!!!! Lexi is going to be 7 years old!!!
