” Here With Me”

Susie Suh

"Here With Me"

Caught in the riptide

I was searching for the truth

There was a reason

I collided into you

Calling your name in the midnight hour

Reaching for you from the endless dream

So many miles between us now

But you are always here with me

Nobody knows why

Nobody knows how and

This feeling begins just like a spark

Tossing and turning inside of your heart

Exploding in the dark

Calling your name in the midnight hour

Reaching for you from the endless dream

So many miles between us now

But you are always here with me

Oh inside me

I find my way

Back to you

Back to you

Calling your name in the midnight hour

Reaching for you from the endless dream

So many miles between us now

But you are always here with me

Two words

In your hands

In your hearts

It's whole universe

You are always here with me

❤️❤️❤️

Nice one, really catchy!  Hadn't heard of them before.

"This song's for you

So you can dance your sadness away

You weren't meant to be this way

Thanks, abcd. :). Yup, that sounds accurate. And much more uplifting. I think those guys appeared & disappeared very quickly. I still have that one song.

Joydrop - Beautiful

If I was beautiful like you

Oh the things I would do

Those not so blessed would be crying out murder

And I'd just laugh and get away with it too

Like you do

If I was beautiful like you

I would never be at fault

I'd walk in the rain between the rain drops

Bringing traffic to a halt

But that would never be

That will never, never be

Cause I'm not beautiful like you

I'm beautiful like me, I'm beautiful like me

If I was beautiful like you

I'd be quick to assume

They'd do anything to please me, why not

I see their reaction when you walk into the room

But that would never be

Never, never, never be

Cause I'm not beautiful like you

I'm beautiful like me, beautiful like me

Beautiful, beautiful like me

Like me, Like me...

If I was beautiful like you

I'd have so many friends

All fighting for my time to be next in line

So if I hurt one, I wouldn't have to make amends

But that would never be

Never, never, never be

Cause I'm not beautful like you

I'm not beautiful like you

I'm not beautiful like you

I'm beautiful like me

I'm Beautiful like me, beautiful like me

I'm beautiful like me, I'm beautiful like me!

"Cold Grey Morning" - Kansas

Cold grey morning without sunlight

Ghostly mist on the horizon

Empty visions of a world gone mad

Paints a picture so revealing

Through my window dark tomorrow

I can hear the sirens wailing

For the future we are holding on

As the ship of fools is sailing

Such a long time, such a long time >:(

We are waiting for a peace that's lasting

Reaching upward sliding downward

Looks like just another

Cold, cold, cold, grey morning

Hardly breathing hope is fading

It's the end of the beginning

Children playing in the empty streets

It's a cold grey morning

Such a long time, such a long time

We are waiting for a peace that's lasting

Reaching upward sliding downward

Looks like just another cold grey morning

:'( :'( :'(

"Moon At The Window" - Joni Mitchell

"It takes cheerful resignation

Heart and humility

That's all it takes"

A cheerful person told me

Nobody's harder on me than me

How could they be

And nobody's harder on you than you

Betsy's blue

She says, "Tell me something good"

You know I'd help her out if I only could

Oh, but sometimes the light

Can be so hard to find

At least the moon at the window

The thieves left that behind

People don't know how to love

They taste it and toss it

Turn it off and on

Like a bathtub faucet

Oh, sometimes the light

Can be so hard to find

At least the moon at the window

The thieves left that behind

I wish her heart

I know these battles

Deep in the dark

When the spooks of memories rattle

Ghosts of the future

Phantoms of the past

Rattle rattle rattle

In the spoon and the glass

Is it possible to learn

How to care and yet not care

Since love has two faces

Hope and despair

And pleasure always turns to fear I find

At least the moon at the window

The thieves left that behind

Moon at the window

They left that behind

At least they left the moon

Behind the blind

Moon at the window

>:(

"Hold On" - The Brevet

These thoughts come rushing in

Through the holes I've left open

And my roots are drying out

Growing weak from letting down

Hold on on

Please hold on

On to me

This life wants to cut you down

Steal the things you can't live without

And all this time we spent looking up

Unaware of all the things that might trip us up

Hold on

Please hold on to me

As I woke inside of this cave

Cold and dark from mistakes I've made

I don't recall how I got to this place

We never do until it's too late

:(

Hold on

Hold on

After all is gone

No more holding on once the will is broken down

So water your roots

Gain strength to put your boots back on

And climb that hill

Back on

And climb that hill

Climb that hill

"Day Will Come" - Keane

The winter night

Has wrapped a rag around your eyes

And stolen your sight

Oh, you seem so far away

I hope you’ll find your way back someday

I miss you, I miss you

[CHORUS:]

Some days set your world on fire

And some days they sink like stones

That’s when your heart will cry out

Until your body is numb

And the night will try to tempt you

But the day will come

We dream hard, we shoot high

Sometimes our fingers graze the sky

But we can’t hold on

[CHORUS]

Brother, don’t hang your head

Until your distance is run

Cause though it seems so far away

You know the day will come

Some days set your world on fire

And some days they sink like stones

That’s when your heart will cry out

Until your body is numb

And the night will try to tempt you

But the day will come

Brother, don’t hang your head

Until your distance is run

Because though it seems so far away

You know the day will come

"Where Eagles Fly"

Sarah Brightman and Eric Adams

https://vimeo.com/185206404

n_Calgary-Pandas20180507T1800.jpg

Between the world of earth and sky

There's a place where eagles fly

There you'll find my heart and soul

Carried on the wind

And in you I believe

So the time I spend waiting

Is a moment passing

Not a minute more

[CHORUS:]

All the years that passed

Never changed my mind

What will be for us

Will be in time

All the dreams we have

One day will come true :-*

Where eagles fly

I will wait for you

Here I'll pass the night

With many battles left to fight

I'll see the sun rise once again

On a distant shore

Loneliness will fade away

Time will stop until the day

You return into my arms

To hold me like before

[CHORUS]

Between the world of earth and sky

There's a place where eagles fly

There you'll find my heart and soul

Carried on the wind

And in you I believe now and forever

Where eagles fly

I will wait for you

Where eagles fly

I will wait for you

Passion Fruit & Holy Bread - Sure As Fate

Please remember me,

for all the happiness and sorrow,

although I know I cannot follow,

I can't forget.

Please remember me,

for though I laugh,

it isn't laughter,

I think of you,

forever after,

my love's alive.

Laughing can't replace,

my broken soul,

the empty hollow,

inside my mind,

my love can wait

it's sure as fate

Keep me down,

kick me down

Cause I won't frown

I'll smile as I hit the ground.

I'll drown in your tears over,

I can wait a thousand years for you

Another rare, forgotten gem

No lyrics available. I've transcribed to the best of my abilities.

Great lyrics, "I'll smile as I hit the ground" :-\>:(

By the way, I've listened to Afraid of Stairs - Not Today a few times, something about that song I REALLY liked a lot.

Thanks, LF.

Hey. I know!  Here's a fun challenge for you ... a great workout for that awesome creative mind of yours and, hopefully maybe, another anxiety tool to add to your arsenal.

Soooo, how about picking a song of your choice, and changing the lyrics to incorporate as many Doc Claire expressions as you can.     You get free reign except you HAVE to include our favorite, "If you tremble, tremble!"

Oh, and one more, "Being afraid has become a habit".

It can be the theme song for your Support Group.  >:D  Next time you have a bad attack, you'll just start singing your song and, who knows, it may make you laugh at the time as well.  Whaddya say?  ;D

Jeff Buckley & Elizabeth Fraser - All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun

My eyes are

A baptism

Oh, I am fuse

And sing her

Into my thoughts

Oh, phantom elusive thing

Oh, all flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no-one for you

But here is one

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no-one for you

But here is one, but here is one...

Here is one

Aaah

La da dada...

Oh, all flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no-one for you

But here is one

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no-one for you

But here is one, but here is one...

Keep it going in me, wicked traveller

Fading farther from me

With your face in my window glow

Oh, Where will you weep for me?

Sweet willow

It's ok to be angry

But not to hurt me

Your happiness

Yes, yes, yes

Darling, darling, darling

Oooh...

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no one for you

But here is one

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no one for you

But here is one

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no one for you

But here is one

All flowers in time bend towards the sun

I know you say that there's no one for you

But here is one

But here is one

But here is one...

Low - Africa (Toto Cover)

I hear the drums echoing tonight

But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation

She's coming in twelve-thirty flight

Her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me toward salvation

I stopped an old man along the way

Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies

He turned to me as if to say,

"Hurry, boy, it's waiting there for you."

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

The wild dogs cry out in the night

As they grow restless longing for some solitary company

I know that I must do what's right

Sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti

I seek to cure what's deep inside

Frightened of this thing that I've become

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

"Hurry, boy, she's waiting there for you."

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

I have had a really hard time with music through this process. A lot of the music that i used to listen to (and I listen to ALL kinds of music) seems to trigger me, or is overwhelming for me in some way. When I find something that I CAN listen to, I listen to it a lot, and when I find a song that actually brings me comfort, I am ALL ABOUT IT.

This song is one that seems to bring comfort to a lot of people. It is about birth and life and death. But more importantly, woven through it all is acceptance and joy, which are two things we can all use a little more of.

Don't pre-judge, hippie-haters. Give it a listen.

Cassidy - The Grateful Dead

I can see where the wolf has slept

by the silver stream

I can tell by the mark he left

you were in his dream

Ah, child of countless trees

Ah, child of boundless seas

What you are, and what you're meant to be

Speaks his name, though you were born to me

Born to me, Cassidy

Lost now on the country miles in his Cadillac

I can tell by the way you smile, he is rollin' back

Come, wash the nighttime clean

Come, grow the scorched ground green

Blow the horn, and tap the tambourine

Close the gap of the dark years in between

You and me, Cassidy

Quick beats in an icy heart

Catch colt drives a coffin cart

There he goes and now here she starts

Hear her cry

Flight of the sea birds

Scattered like lost words

Wheel to the storm and fly

Fare thee well now

Let your life proceed by its own design

Nothing to tell now

Let the words be yours, I'm done with mine

Fare thee well now

Let your life proceed by its own design

Nothing to tell now

Let the words be yours, I'm done with mine

Flight of the sea birds

Scattered like lost words

Wheel to the storm and fly

Thank you. No judging here. It's a great song. :)

I find it hard to go back to a lot of music (lot of emotionality and all), but it really helps me listen lately.

Mojave 3 - Starlight No 1

Said you never felt so strange

Said I never felt so strange

Hanging out with the drifters

The poets and the painters that fill your head

No, I never wanted much

No, I never wanted much

And we're old enough now

To know you never want it till someone does

Don't you think you should try a little

To make it all come clean?

Is this highway a road to love or

Just a way to get to him?

What you gonna get out of nothing?

'Cause nothing is the way it seems

I saw you in the silence

I saw you in the darkness

Crawling through the pillars of your pain

I saw you in the silence

Crawling through the pillars of your pain

Judy, I can see your smile

Running with your hair all wild

Running for the weekend

Looking for the daylight in your eyes

Maria McKee - St. Patrick's Cathedral TradFest 2017 - A Good Heart

I hear a lot of stories, I suppose they could be true

All about love and what it can do to you

High is the risk of striking out, the risk of getting hurt

And still I have so much to learn

I know 'cause I think about it all the time

I know that real love is quite a price

And a good heart these days is hard to find

A good heart, true love, the lasting kind

A good heart these days is hard to find

So please be gentle with this heart of mine

My expectations may be high, I blame that on my youth

Soon enough I'll learn the painful truth

I'll face it like a fighter then boast of how I've grown

Anything is better than being alone

I know 'cause I learn a little everyday

I know 'cause I listen when the experts say

And a good heart these days is hard to find

A good heart, true love, the lasting kind

A good heart these days is hard to find

So please be gentle with this heart of mine

As I reflect on all my childhood dreams

My ideas of love weren't as foolish as they seemed

If I don't start looking now, I'll be left behind

And a good heart these days is hard to find

I know it's a dream I'm willing to defend

I know it will all be worth it in the end

And a good heart these days is hard to find

A good heart, true love, the lasting kind

A good heart these days is hard to find

So please be gentle with this heart of mine

And a good heart these days is hard to find

A good heart, true love, the lasting kind

A good heart these days is hard to find

So please be gentle with this heart of mine

With this heart of mine

Lol, welcome, Wots ... no judging or haters here ... unless it's in good fun, of course. ;)

Never heard that one before and, you're right, the lyrics are quite special, thanks for the share, and I hope it won't be too long before you're able to get fully back into your music.

Love your sig quote, btw!  :D:thumbsup:

” So Close”

Olarfur Arnalds

“ So Close”

Through dark and light I fight to be

So close

Shadows and lies mask you from me

So close

Bathe my skin, the darkness within

So close

The war of our lives no one can win

The missing piece I yearn to find

So close

Please clear the anguish from my mind

So close

But when my truth of you comes clear

So close

I wish my life, I never come near

So close

Through dark and light I fight to be

So close

Shadows and lies mask you from me

” Caterpillar “

Mountains Of The Moon

“Caterpillar”

I’m falling out

With everything around me now

Losing what I used to be

And I’m over it

They have been to the moon

I’m just a caterpillar dead in my cocoon

Swept by my mind’s typhoon

And I’m all at sea

I wish it could be different

Wish there was no dampness here

Oh we shouldn’t have listened

To the angst and the fear

I had it all

Rivers of gold and forest so tall

But I ran my canoe down a waterfall

Started a wildfire

I wish it could be different

Wish there was no dampness here

Oh we shouldn’t have listened

To the angst and the fear

Here I sit in silence as it's rising at me

And I'm afraid that I'm not taking my chances

How do I know it's light in the horizon that I see?

I've seen questions, but never answers

Darkness to me is only water to the sea

I've only ever heard of drought

I used to be the one with the grandest of dreams

But how can hope keep believing through the war?

” Walk Through The Fire”

Zayde Wolf

“ Walk Through The Fire”

I'm always wondering

If it's ever gonna end

I can feel it in my bones

I can feel it in my bones

Standing in the dust

Of what's left of us

I can see you in my soul

I can see you in my soul

Did we take too many chances?

Did we let too many pass us?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we light too many matches?

Turn ourselves into these ashes?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we throw it all away?

We walk through the fire

Is there a way out?

Is there a way out?

We walk through the fire

Is there a way out?

Is there a way out?

I try to understand

How we're here again

In the middle of the storm

In the middle of the storm

There's nowhere to go

Nowhere to go

But straight through the smoke

Straight through the smoke

And the fight is all we know

The fight is all we know

Did we take too many chances?

Did we let too many pass us?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we light too many matches?

Turn ourselves into these ashes?

Did we throw it all away?

Did we throw it all away?

We walk through the fire

Is there a way out?

Is there a way out?

We walk through the fire

Is there a way out?

Is there a way out?

Of the fire
