Knackered Sorts ‘Hate Speech’ with Benzos

Hey there, Knackered here.  One of the signs of conscious evolution is the development of communication through written and verbal language.  Emerging first within remote cultures, then in growing societies and finally on a regional basis.

Signs of this are an awareness of the need for stability, intelligence and a desire to humanize the process of relationships.  Sadly, the degeneration of this process is clearly evident in segments of society that are presently isolating themselves in a desire inhibit progress and form tribal control of society at large.  Their resulting cult-like movement is, in effect, seeking not to simply push their agenda, but to engender the remainder of the population to think as they do.

Having failed to effectively launch a platform based on reason or  common good, they have resorted to “Hate Speech” as a last chance effort to achieve their end.

‘Hate speech or expression that denigrates a person or persons on the basis of (alleged) membership in a social group identified by attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or physical or mental disabilities’ (Britannica) has become weaponized to accomplish their purposes.

Slurs, epithets, and statements that promote malicious stereotyping are preferred methods of engagement.  Hate speech often uses signs or symbols as well as verbal attacks to step up the game.  Examples include the swastika, Confederate flags and profanity. Recent signs that are most alarming are the proliferation of large American flags on vehicles.  Questions arise when bumper stickers contradict the meaning of this most recognizable symbol and what it stands for.

Hate speech poses a challenge to contemporary societies that are committed to freedom and equality within their members.  And this poses a huge problem as to how modern countries should regulate or control this type of rhetoric.

Often hiding behind the auspices of “free speech” as dictated by creed or constitution, proponents of this autocratic thinking generally cite censorship as a protective rationale. Reason effectively negates this theory and calls it out for what is: ‘an effort to socially subordinate its victims.’ (Ibid.)

As members of this community, we should naturally seek to advocate not only for our own tapers, but free thinking, truthfulness, and the right to live in a progressive and liberalized body of beings. Our silence in regard to those who would negate this is unthinkable.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope.  In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort.  In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream.  And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.” (Michael Jackson)
