Knackered Sends Greetings on His Three Hour Tour with Benzos
Hey there, Knackered here. I write today from a lovely, but isolated island. I am three days into what is our summer family vacation. For you lovely and faithful followers, you’ll recognize this as ‘ my three hour tour’. Getting here took all of Sunday. I’m still feeling the consequences of our departure.
Our entire extended nuclear family is downstairs. My grand daughter is running through the house singing, loud enough for those of you in the US to hear. It’s at least the 43 or 44th round of ‘The Ants Go Marching ‘. Her father screams lovingly at her that this has got to be it.
You should realize that my sleep has been less than stellar. I forgot to bring some of the meds I need, so there’s that going on. Fortunately, no Benzos went amiss.
The family has enjoyed jaunts out to the ice cream shop and the beach. Alas, I have not ventured out since we arrived. I cannot get down to the beach and I’ve spent my time wrapped in an old duvet I found in an upstairs closet.
Last night featured a rousing match of Pictionary. My nine year old grandson won. His six year old sister spent the evening doing the same thing she’s currently involved in, only much louder. I took my duvet to the bedroom.
My wife remains at a loss as to what to do with me. I keep telling her I am fine. She has reminded me numerous times that they all want me to join in and participate. Something about having fun. I, so far, have refrained from telling her that I have no business here in the first place. I have told all of them that I love them. That seems to make them happy. I’m glad.
The fourth festivities are already eagerly anticipated. My wife worries that we didn’t bring enough sparklers for everyone.
I must end and return downstairs. Someone will find me soon. I need to let you know that my nausea and routine are not in a good place.
In closing, let me state that the recent US Supreme Court decision has done nothing to improve my state of mind. And traveling is not my friend. Of course it’s not. God help us all. Many happy returns. Thanks for following. I love you all. @[kn...]
