If I kept switching meds like that, I'd be completely shocked if I wasn't sick. Seriously, that's like putting your body and mind through Hell. Honestly, I think you need to take Wonderwoman's advice to heart... you need to ask yourself what you think is best at this point.

These are the same questions and problems you've been writing about and we've been responding to all month.  I have nothing to add that wasn't on your original hazyworld thread:

Hon, you have to do some of the things we've suggested for anxiety and keep doing them until something works for you.  Different things work for different people.  I do best using controlled breathing and a brisk walk.  Others listen to meditation tapes or CDs or online and/or drink chamomille tea.  I must say, though, I felt a lot more anxious the last year or so I was on the benzo because I had reached tolerance.  You may be at that point, too, which means you could be like me and have less anxiety off the benzo than on it.  I know it seems impossible but there are hundreds of members over the years who had become dependent on these drugs but gotten off them successfully.  You can do it.

Hazy, there is no easy way to get off these drugs.  To put it bluntly, you are going to feel like hell, and with all that you've been through with the changing of med you are going to feel like you are are in hell, there's no two ways around it.

You are going to have to dig deep within yourself and find the strength and the commitment to do this.  You can do it, many, many people have.

I'm not trying to discourage you but it seems that once you get on a drug and you are feeling like crap you think it's not working, or working as it should.  At this point, if I were you, I would pick one and stay with it until the end.  You've tried them all and know what you think will work the best for you.

We're here to help and support you but you are going to have to decide how you want to get through this.

This is what I would do:

1) Find yourself a good specialist that spealizes in Anxiety Disorders and also who KNOWS what you are going through and been through.

2) Don't LET THEM PUT YOU ON ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER!!! Stick with what works and taper from that medication.

3) Talk to yourself, (me and myself have many conversations OUT LOUD and inner self ) and tell yourself, "I can do this!" "No one else is going to do IT for me and I am in COMPLETE control of this and BEGIN there..."

4) Find something, ANYTHING, that gives you a moment's peace. When I mean a MOMENT I mean just that, anything besides medication, examples: a creek, a mountainview, a child laughing, a bird singing, etc. Those moments of peace help you find the inner peace to conquer the anxiety that fleets within our bodies.

5) Know that there is a God. God is what has helped me through sooooo much of my battles. Without Him, I would not be here today.
