Can w/d enforce problems with back? I have some protruded disks - in my neck and back - and now feel worse: increased aches accompanied by headache and pain in leg...Is it possible to take some medicines like nimesil?

Hi Verik-

Benzo withdrawal can contribute to aches and pains.  How that relates to protruded discs and the accomanying pain is a better question for your primary health provider.  Sorry to be vague, however that is a bit outside of the scope of this site.

No need to apoplogize, Verik.  We have many members with all kinds of conditions to contend with so we can just tell you what we know.  I did read on this forum that withdrawal can cause previous injuries to become painful again but that isn't exactly what you asked about.  I believe Keith is being cautious so you would see your doctor if the pain persists.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the drug, nimesil.  It must be a brand not available in the United States.  Prof. Ashton specifically mentioned there is no need to avoid over-the-counter pain medicines, like tylenol.
