Anyone experience this whilst starting an AD? How did you deal with it? How long did it last? I read a few weeks but thats just on generic google medicle type sites. The agitation is from another planet!

Hi! I googled but only thing it says was an increased risk of suicide!

What is it and how does it feel?

I took ADs for a few months but didn't have much of positive OR negative effects..

Take care!

Is this common? If I ride it out will it subside? Or do I have to taper off?

Other than that does mirt helps you anything? If not you might stop taking it as you haven't taking it for long?,

Does anyone have any experience of this? Is it just a case of riding out the storm and it will settle?

You may feel restless and agitated (unable to sit or stand still) for the first few weeks while taking this drug.

Mirtazapine can also cause other side effects.

This side effect usually does go away when you finally acclimate to the drug. Since you are still experiencing these start-up effects, that may mean it would be easier for you to stop the medication than it would be once your body is used to it (when the start-up effects go away).

Only you know what you can tolerate. If it takes one to two more weeks of feeling like this before the benefits is that acceptable?

Possibly, but it'll be rough. If I were to stop do you think I'd have to taper at this point?

I think I'm developing Akathisia. I want to crawl out of my skin.

Yes basically. What's weird is that I think my akathasia, and other symptoms, got better when i started using quentapine. I'm not using it now. Or mirtazapine.

I understand..

Is there anything else you could try that is not a benzo type? When in acute i took a opiate from my mother. Wasn't it you that also did it and vomited?

That's why i grew mirt dosage up very slowly the second time. First time, when i hurried up, it felt really bad and i tapered off of mirt, not for too long.

Can't say no problem at all... I did have some unpleasant moments, but everything was within bearable.
