[he...]
I am wondering if taking palmitoylethanolamide would be equivalent to taking a benzodiazepine or if this supplement could increase tolerance. It has been one of the few supplements that helped with my symptoms so far. Using 600mg, I experienced a substantial temporary drop in heart rate. For reference, here is the text I mentioned and the link to the paper: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1043661814000656 "In the amygdala, PEA increased dopamine turnover, as well as GABA levels. PEA also counteracted the overactivation of HPA axis, reducing the expression of hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing hormone and its type 1 receptor."
