Have recently noticed a fungal infection on my toes and underneath 2 toenails causing redness and pain.

Have tried fungal-hydrocortisone cream but seems the skin is over sensitive and therefore cream only causes more burning and some itching. Anybody experienced this and if so what  did you do to eliminate the fungus ?
