tips for UTI

hello buddies. im a male in my 40s still stuck tapering 2+ mg of Valium very very slowly. it looks like i have UTI and im going to the doc tomorrow. im scared the doc will likely give me antibiotics. we all know it can rev up some of us in WD. what should i do ? thank you all so much

I’m sorry you are dealing with a possible UTI. It’s good you are seeing the doctor, the first thing to do is to get a culture. If it’s determined you have a UTI, the lab can determine the type of bacteria it is and suggest possible medications. They did for me. 

The one antibiotic to avoid is the fluoroquinolone  class. I had to take antibiotics for some reasons during withdrawal. I have multiple allergies to some drugs but there are a few I can take with no difficulty. 
 

Try not to worry, many people can take medications during this process without ramifications. It would be important to treat the UTI.
