Off 5 mg. Valium 3 times a day for 9 months

In May felt anxious. Doctor ,who knows of my V problem put me on Buspirone 5mg. Felt good after 3 days then bad side effects kicked in

 .i.e. legs numb , chest felt weird, so quit after  7 days.

Anybody have experience with Buspirone ?

No.. not really.. think just acting 74.5 year old age related stuff. See others really bad off .

It seems to me that your doctor diagnosed you with anxiety while you were recovering from your benzo use, most of us get that while going through this process.  I never had anxiety before taking benzo’s, I used it for sleep but I sure found out what it was when I was recovering.  The anxiety left when and I don’t need to be medicated, maybe you don’t either if it’s not a chronic condition for you.

Buspirone seems to loose effectiveness if the person was on benzos before. It's something that was said here at BB for years. Like other meds there are reactions at first that may take a while to subside. It's a challenge sometimes you have to wait. The other option is being less medicated as possible and confront the problem.
