When is it safe to take Bupropion/Wellbutrin?

I have read that bupropion is discouraged in those who have abruptly discontinued benzodiazepines because of the risk of seizures... my question is when is it safe to take this molecule....

I’m not a doctor but I think if you’re more than a week or two off the benzos, the threat of a seizure is pretty much gone UNLESS you have epilepsy and are somehow seizure prone.  
 

I took Wellbutrin for years along with Klonopin.  My biggest concern with starting Wellbutrin is that it may cause anxiety, but everyone is different.  I originally started Wellbutrin to counteract the tiredness and slowness from the Klonopin.  But, the Wellbutrin was pretty stimulating and gave me some anxiety so the dose of my Klonopin was increased.  The wonderful world of pharma - just keep throwing more drugs at patients to counteract the negative effects of the initial drug.
