Ear Pain-Follow Up

Hi All!

So I had posted earlier about ear pain and I'm just providing a follow up.  I did end up going to the ER due to extreme head pressure and ear pain.  They did do a CT Scan and told me it was normal.  Then they told me to follow up by seeing an ENT (I had already seen an ENT.  He said my ears looked healthy).  

So I'm looking for reassurance that this will go away and and tips for dealing with the pain.  Obviously I can't take any strong pain meds and at this point,  a cold compress brings on a headache.  I used to swim in a warm therapy pool and that would help ears but that as well doesn't help now.  

I'd love to hear from anyone that has experienced this, when it went away and what techniques they used to keep the pain manageable.
