Ssi disability

Has anyone succeeded in receiving ssi disability?  I'm 20 months out and doing awful.

Is this temporary? I was on it from work. Ran out of money. Wonder if I can apply for permanent as I still can't work and I feel I'm getting worse

    I've been on it for 26 years.  Every so often the govt will send you a form to make sure your disability is severe enough to qualify for their program.  I'd stress any depression symptoms if you will be applying.  You can still work and receive benefits as long as your income from work is less than a certain amount per month.  I'm not sure what that amount is currently.  Maybe $1200/month.

     You do have to have put in a certain amount of work to qualify.

Thank you so much for your reply. I can work doordash some weeks. This week incase only able to work 6 hours and it was rough. Other weeks 25 hours.
