Metoprolol

So finally after many years off the benzo and no underlying conditions I developed stroke level blood pressure and had to recently go on bp meds. My doctor put me on Metoprolol and I have been in bed two months with severe and I mean severe symptoms that at first I thought was acute benzo wd all over again but now I have connected the dots to the med. I have had severe vertigo, nausea, fatigue, brain fog, bad sleep, and many other horrific symptoms that kept me bedridden for months on this med so now am weaning. I prefer to be on nothing but seems I have no choice so now switched to Captopril. Is that a safer bp med? Anyone with bad reactions to that as well or does it work well?

Wow. I take huge doses. 300mg a day for my blood pressure and have zero negative symptoms.

Strange.. it has SOME sedation effect but shouldent be that bad. You dont need to taper that medicine.

Some history.. it's was first made from snake poison but now it's a chemichal twin.
