Has anyone had success with antidepressants for short term symptom reduction?

I wanted to see if anyone had success using any antidepressants simply to reduce symptoms while tapering/being off entirely for a few months only. 
 

I understand most people in here would frown upon adding another medication but the way I see it is when you are having a tough taper it’s about survival. I was so afraid to add Baclofen (muscle relaxant) when my doctor suggested it (he’s an addiction specialist and more educated about benzos than most doctors) and it has really helped.

Many members have found A/D's to be useful while tapering and recovering.  Of course as you know, sometimes we don't react well to other medications and supplements so its a risk but so is depression so maybe start low and slow?

Have you ever taken them before?
