I can watch Casablanca over and over again. I wish that I was around in the forties. To be able to watch these great movies, on a big screen at a neighborhood theatre must have been something. A diffrerent era for sure.

I don't know, In my house it seems like dust, is always in the corner!

Which one of our Presidents had the largest shoes?

Technically it is Lincoln..

But I guess the president with the largest feet.

Yes, Smells Like Teen Spirit is correct.

Question: Which one of our Presidents had the largest shoes?........Answer: The President with the largest feet.

Mine is the dumb answer! It would have to be Lincoln, of course. Good answer!

They were good friends. George was the protector of Lennie but also his eventual murderer.

This is a great post. Loving the questions.

If I'm right, here's my question, and if I'm wrong, here's my question:

Who said,

"I think therefore I am"?

Hi Sigma,

I think Jan disagrees with your concepts somewhere along the line, here is what he has to say on the your sphere calculations.

"There are 3 states for shapes in topology. These are bounded, unbounded and boundless. Something that is infinite is boundless by definition.

A sphere by definition is either bounded or unbounded depending upon whether the surface is included or not.

A sphere only has 1 centre that is equidistant from each point on the surface. Something that is infinite cannot supply a centre that equidistant from each point of the surface as the surface cannot be defined."

Also, Jan can deal with advanced calculations in maths!

You are right I love music, but am not a musician !

I am presently feeling anxious as we got talking to two people in the van near us. (We are  in Cooktown & they are Dutch out here on a bird watching vacation,) He's 73 & still very goodlooking with piercing blue eyes, she's 20 years younger, & both second marriages, They offered Jan some wine but I had mineral water . Very friendly if a bit formal but they both turned out to be psychiatrists, he's retired but specialised in addiction!I always feel as if they are summing up how stable  one is , although she disagrees with all that classifying in that DSM 1V & agrees that the brain is very complex.

Anyway, think over what Jan said

I see what he's saying, naturally.

However since everything in nature is cycled and so on.

The theory of a sphere within an infinite sphere, well, I gave the equation with a little help from a few friends at Princeton University.. that I keep in contact with. I'm not knocking anyone down, not my style, as I'm open to all opinions and what others have to say.

The basic question is, "If the universe is within 3 spheres, and our galaxy lies within the middle of the third sphere, how can it be expressed?

It can be expressed, but to prove it.. it cannot be done.

I deal with Calculus everyday and look at problems, my interests are in Probability, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Miscellaneous Mathematics. Algebra and Geometry are pretty much a breeze. I think those are simple Math's. Today, here in New York.. Algebra starts in the 7th Grade, or as they call it Algebra 1/2. My main Interest really, and which I'm going for are Physics, and my equation that I showed are more of that nature. Mathematics do indeed apply to Physics, especially Differential Equations, Calculus, and Dynamics along with other Maths.

I see you know many songs. I was just saying Musician because to me, and many will disagree, but I tend to be eccentric. To me, anyone who has an interest in music to a degree is a musician. You don't have to know how to play an instrument, but I'm eccentric thinking like that. ;)

I will definitely think about what your hubby said, and like I said.. I'm very open-minded and liberal. So I will take in account what your hubby says.

BTW, what kind of Mathematics does he deal with? If you don't mind me asking.

In the book,  In Cold Blood, by Truman Capote, what were Dick and Perry picking up along the roadside to sell for money?

Empty soda bottles, I'm thinking. For Sammy's last question.

And, as for Springfield, Il, or Springfield, Mo... Springfield, Il is a university town, so I guess I think of it as being more cultured and it is the capital of the state. But, I don't watch the "Simpsons", and that's not to say that there aren't a share of rural and suburban areas around there that are of a redneck mentality. Are the Simpsons rednecky, or is that my projection-perception?

I went to a small college near Springfield, Il, is why I have some idea about the location, and have family in K.C. area, and hubs is from K.C. and Springfield, Mo, just seems more unsophisticated, if you will. (See, we can learn a lot here; including math that goes beyond the scope of my limited mathematical-genetic composition).

Another quote question, here, from the literature and creative writing major whose interests are anthropology and history:

Who said:

"We are such stuff as dreams are made of, and our little lives are rounded with a sleep"? That's an easy one, right?

That's right, it was soda bottles, I think back then they were worth a nickel a bottle, maybe a dime. I admire the way Truman Capote can weave together a story.  Rest in peace, Truman, you were given a gift, thanks for sharing it with the world!
