Crossing over to Valium

It breaks my heart to read of those struggling at low doses of the newer generation benzos. Why aren't they crossing over to Valium like Ashton recommends?

i know for me i considered it trading one devil for another. like going from whiskey to vodka to help come off whiskey (just an analogy)

It helped me to not have anxiety. I had gotten all the way down to 2.50 of k and couldn’t take the way it made me feel. Valium helped so much but It’s just the tiredness and sleepiness that bothers me.I would much rather be on V then to suffer all day with K and be fearful and anxious. Being on V I have very few side effect and if I do I can get through it.

It seems so much easier to daily micro-taper on V without worrying about interdose WD.

I have read multiple articles referring to Valium as the 'gold standard' of tapering off benzos. And LOTS of articles describing Xanax as the most risky for extreme withdrawal symptoms.. including my therapist's shared (anonymized) experiences as well.
