Type of brain scans

Hi Buddies,

 

I know its been a while but i hope this finds you all well. Work has been insane and has consumed every ounce of mental fortitude.

 

I need to know what types of brain scans you personally had or recommend and for what reason. i read somewhere that while an MRI will show X, a CT scan will show Y.

 

My goal is to see if i have any tumors, and identify if there is anything noticeable in the brain that could be causing the memory issues. Neurons not firing, brain damage, chemical releases, ect.

 

I have great insurance and almost met my deductible, but want this done by the end of the year before i downgrade next year.

bump - someone help me out here. i know some of you have had scans i am just looking for some guidance here
