4 year prescribed

Hi, I am a 4 yr prescribed xanax user.  Normally I can take 1-1mg pill per day and be ok.  Lately I'm having to take more and want out.  I never wanted them in the first place but ran into some serious anxiety.

Unfortunately many run into the problem of needing to take more as the body develops tolerance to the med. These meds should never be taken long term. know that is best to go slow when reducing these meds. Mixon, it sounds like you my be experiencing interdose withdrawal.  Xanax is a very short half-life drug and usually people dose 4x a day. It may help you to break up your dose and start your taper from that position.
