I joined to learn more about tapering the benzo-like etizolam, and to read about people's success stories getting off benzos or RC benzos themselves. I have used up to 6 mg per day for a few months now and plan to taper off slowly.

We're glad you joined us and congratulate you on your decision to quit the Z-drug etizolam.  You've come to the right place for information and support to help you plan a careful slow taper.  This is a community of others who understand what this process is a like.

 

We suggest tapering with cuts of no more than 5-10% every 10-14 days or longer, depending on symptoms.  This is the best way to help keep withdrawal symptoms to a minimum and help you function as well as possible through your withdrawal.  Many members choose to taper even more slowly with smaller cuts, allowing the taper to be guided by symptoms.
