What gets you through the day?

Honestly I have to say my girls get me through my days. When I feel real bad with symptoms, I honestly want to run away but everything that needs to be done for them keeps me on my toes. So grateful for them.

When I was in withdrawal and recovery, distraction was the best tool I used.  I had a rotating selection of distractions that I used during the day and sometimes at night.  I read easy going books, did puzzles, crosswords and played scrabble against the computer.

I also continued to teach and although at times it was difficult and I wasn't on my 'A' game, it helped me focus less on how I felt.

I'm glad you have your girls, that is a wonderful distaction.

I have two daughters.  Pretty much grown now.

How old are yours??

Girls are a blessing. They are literally my best friends. I have a 25 year old,  an 18 year old,  a 13 year old and an 8 year old. I also have a 5 year old granddaughter. They are my light at a time where all I see is darkness.
