I know, we had a gas on here for awhile. For some reason I haven't been in a music mood lately. It makes me too nostalgic, and I think with my jump, I"m too sensitive to get nostalgic right now, lol! I'll just get all weepy, missing the old days, old exes, dead exes, blah blah blah.  Give me a few more days.

realistically if it triggers all those things it takes decades    i have just entered the sweet memories of love lost and the realization that i have no need to pass that way again - which reminds me of the stones - so be right back with a muscial explanation.

i went through so much sorrow one month into my taper and immediately following - one significant other dead then other married during the same week - i felt nothing but loss - i wanted neither of them back - but they were both such good friends - it was a loss - a real loss and i was filled with sorrow.

 

now my emotions are much more stable - i look at them both as gifts - had them in my life - memories - well they are found ones now - not feelings of loss but feelings of gifts given and received.  so at times when i wonder will i ever have that connection again i don't know - but i do know that i did and it was grand - it was beautiful and i was lucky.

 

so as you heal - i hope you remember what worked - what you had and can feel fondness.

Thaks Silver. You know, some people never have that kind of love their whole life, so it is a precious gift.

When Pete died last fall, I became aquainted by email with his Son and daughter in law  and Pete's baby grandson (they are in Kansas). They told me how much he talked about me and cared about me, and now I'm really close to them. I'm gonna go to Kansas someday to meet them. So that's the gift I got from his death. I didn't want him back either, he was too freaking crazy. But he was the love of my life, twice, and my best friend so it was a huge loss.

steve was a musician and he was a blast - we would get out of the car and he would say "wait" and take me in his arms and we would dance slow to whatever he heard in his mind.  if we were in the yard at night he would take me in his arms and sing in my ear and dance slow when we broke up he would quote the song above.

 

i was sad when he died his daughter left a message on my phone saying he spoke of me often and i was filled with regret that for the last two years all i did was speak with him on the phone and he would always ask me to come see him - he had MS and could no longer leave his apartment to drive.  he sounded so good on the phone - i guess i just assumed i would see him again - he would be here for a while - well i was wrong - sting -

 

i focus on the good and there was soooooo many good times - he was a blast to be with -

 

linda so now you have petes family - a part of him - sounds good to me.
