I just don't feel like hanging lights this year.  I actually thought I should offer my husband a divorce if he is going to keep arguing about this and xmas.  I stayed home last year.  I was pretty sick when we put the lights up last year and felt victorious when we were done.  I'm better this year  but I just don't see the point.  Luckily this photo is not me.  (But whoever he is - he's cute)  http://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p497/wendy236/05-holiday-disaster_zpsq0ilqtvn.jpg

Gr D -- what a beautiful quilt.  How long did that take?

So exciting glama!  He'll be tired and hungry.  You cooking?

WBB, you know I really don't remember. But it was a special kind of a method that I can't remember the name of either! Someday my memories going to come back. And some day I'm going to try making more quilts.

Wow, I sure wouldn't want to be in his shoes!

This is a picture of a Christmas lap quilt I made a few years ago...

D! That is really beautiful...you are a very talented chickie!! I have a friend who makes quilts. She does such beautiful work, as well. It takes her a long time to complete one, but when she's done...wow! They are quality. You two are in the same 'league'.

David remembers accompanying his father out shopping in the toy department of Macy's one Christmas Eve.

Dad said, 'What a marvellous train set. I'll buy it.'

The girl behind the counter looked pleased and murmured, 'Great, I'm sure your son will really love it.'

Dad replied with a glint in his eye, 'Maybe you're right.  In that case I'll take two.'

Sorry - I don't mean to post so much but found a pic that captured how I felt today.  Not one but TWO therapists had to come to the house today for my son (not emergency but could be, I guess).  I'm accepting our predicament and it isn't easy  AND in jump w/d.  http://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p497/wendy236/its_a_wonderful_life_zps4rwlcue8.jpg

Love the quilt and the cactus. Really cool.

Anyone who hates fruitcake has never tasted the fabulous Texas fruitcake. O.M.G. Really to die for. Expensive but worth it. My sister's fruitcake is wh-----the fu----- is she thinking.

Ha -- I knew someone with a great North Carolina fruit cake (eastern shore).  I guess fruitcake gets a bad rap.  Why is "fruit" synonymous with mental illness anyway?

I once read an article by Phyllis Diller that was really funny called, "The Gift that Gags" -- if anyone can find - I'd love to read it again.  I need a laugh.  WBB

I think in C.A. Fruit means Homosexual or Gay, and Nut means Crazy. That is why Calif. is called 'The Home of the Fruits and Nuts' Incredibly rude. In the U,K. Bent means gay and nutter means crazy.

Bad fruitcake is a culinary nightmare, and rightly should be avoided. Good fruitcake is sublime , full of mouth watering goodness

This is a picture of upside down tomato cages from our garden my husband has put Christmas lights on. He does this every year and they always look so pretty. He just thought up the idea one day years ago.

That's brilliant! You're married to a genious, D...I couldn't seem to get my tomatoes to grow on them last year...maybe they're good for something else! I'll send them out into the cold for the winter and put lights on them...maybe that will teach 'em a lesson and they'll help my tomatoes next spring/summer. ha!

Q. According to the song, what did my true love give to me on the seventh day of Christmas?
