Have you guys seen this one? Its not a meme, but hilarious nonetheless....

The Dog's Diary

8:00 am - Dog food! My favorite thing! 9:30 am - A car ride! My favorite thing! 9:40 am - A walk in the park! My favorite thing! 10:30 am - Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing! 12:00 pm - Milk bones! My favorite thing! 1:00 pm - Played in the yard! My favorite thing! 3:00 pm - Wagged my tail! My favorite thing! 5:00 pm - Dinner! My favorite thing! 7:00 pm - Got to play ball! My favorite thing! 8:00 pm - Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing! 11:00 pm - Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

The Cat's Diary

Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

In honor of some possible snow fall this week, how about some chocolate snowflakes?

abcd, thanks for the hot chocolate!

LM, it's going to get really cold - brrrrr- in our area tomorrow. Don't forget your mittens!

Mindseeker...they were soooooooooooooooooo not ready for the snow. My son's daycare is a 5 minute drive...it's up a hill....the hill was not plowed or salted.

Took me 1.5 hours to get there. Yep...you read right. I could not turn around because of the barrier...no U-turns...sigh.

Cars spun out and everything! We made it safely!

Thank you for the treats...my co-worker gave me some yummy dark chocolate just now too!

Oh...and the heat in my truck does not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :tickedoff:

Yikes! Be careful out there, buddy!

You're sooooo right - they were NOT ready!

Please be careful. I took a walk at lunch and I'm afraid when the sidewalks and roads freeze over tonight, it's gonna be super dangerous!

I was hoping to get off early, but we're swamped. So I'm going to tough it out. And then I'll take Lexi out again in the snow. I only got 2 hours of sleep last night so at least this cold exercise may help with the insomnia.

Hope you and your son get home safely.  :smitten:

P.S. I want some dark chocolate!  :D

Thanks Mindseeker! I might leave early to get him...it was unreal this morning. Wish I could pass some darck chocolate out through the computer lol.

I can do so virtually.

On a brighter note some good news...this morning for about 30 minutes I felt pretty close to normal after I woke up. It was an amazing feeling. I have not felt like that in a long time! WOW!

Anxiety struck when we were driving up a slippery hill and stuck in a ton of traffic. But I reflected on my almost perfect mini window and it made me smile  :smitten:

Now that calls for more chocolate!

Thanks badsocref and ice/snow on a hill with curves...sigh.

I lived in Lexington, KY for about 6 years (grad school), and had to deal with ice storms occasionally - with an RX-7.  I often couldn't drive to my apartment.  The car would not go up or down the iced pavement.  So I had to park in another apartment complex and walk over my apt.

I so enjoyed those 5-10 mph drives to/from work on those mornings (not!).

You said it! 5mph!!! And still a challenge  :tickedoff:

When I was able to resume driving after my night parked on I-10, I began at 8 mph (in an 80 mph zone).  Took me a few minutes to get up the courage to speed up to 20 mph (even more courage since I had to pass a couple of trucks doing 8 mph).  We get so spoiled by rapid transportation these days.  I hope the ice melts for your pick-up trip this afternoon.
