I made a big mistake last night. I rented "Noah" instead of "Flight." Oh what a horrible movie Noah was! Made for teenage boys. I mistakenly thought it would be about animals!!! Wrong!

Tonight, I am going to finish "Life of Pi." I started it months ago but it was too intense for me at that time. It seemed to be a beautifully made and filmed movie, and I look forward to watching it all tonight.

I enjoyed Noah, actually. I thought the portrayal of him as being a man caught in a moral conundrum between what he felt was right and what he believed God was telling him to do was interesting.

"Life of Pi" is fantastic. One of my favorite movies of the past decade.

Life of Pi was the very first film i watched in withdrawal and it's beauty helped me to cry a little although it was a little intense for me to watch i made myself stay with it.

now i want to see Noah.

i may watch Flight again soon. it really made me ball crying tears.

No, it is a true story about excesses in all areas of the guys life, money, women, drink, drugs, cars, yachts, houses, Helicopters, etc .

Really worth a watch

Talk about Excesses. Too many Hookers to count. Bets

I didn't watch Life of Pi last night. Instead, I watched an excellent TV show, "Longmire." Well done, wish I got that channel! I had to pay to see one episode.

Finally watched "Life of Pi." What a great movie! During the last 20 minutes, I burst into tears, and couldn't stop. I cried so hard my nose bled. I believe it upset me because of the theme of loss, which is something I know too much about.

But this was a movie so beautifully filmed, with such love. It is one of my all time top movies.

wasn't it great east? i balled during the last 20 minutes too. i don't wish to give it away for anyone who hasn't seen it and this is just my own take on it -- but i really think Richard Parker acted so nonchalant in his walking away was to help Pi move forward a little easier. but it was such a great film and the very first one i watched during this wd process. was the first time i was able to cry when i couldn't cry. still really can't cry. can't wait to be able to cry agian. :D

Well, the story he told the two investigators was probably the truth. But I like the tiger version better. He must have been traumatized by the boat sinking, the loss of his father. Great movie. Did it win any awards?

All deserved but it should have won Best Picture!!!! I am so picky about movies. Usually I don't like comedies, although Mrs Doubtfire I liked a lot. A few others.

Okay - "Fargo." Now, that was both funny and profound. NOT for everyones taste, though.

have i talked about how amazing "American Hustle" on this thread? maybe i have? i sure did on my blog. i've watched it about 6 times in a row. the last few weeks. what a great film! Christian Bale was absolutely amazing! i did not see any traces of Christian, i only say Irving Rosenthal.

Amy Adams was perfect and flawless and Jennifer Lawrence was hysterical! Bradely Cooper, Louis CK and Jeremy Renner were also great performances but Christian Bale's performance actually made me cry heartily in an otherwise un-tearful movie. God, i sound like Rober Ebert or someone like a film critic. it was just so great! really intelligent and sophistated film. and David O Russel who also wrote and dirtected Silver Linings Playbook is such a genius i think.

oh, "A Most Wanted Man" sounds so good. i love both Robin and Philip. yeah, if you like that intelligent & sophistated kind of film with great characters & superb acting -- you're going to love American Hustle. it's on again tonight and i may glimpse my favorite scenes. Jennifer Lawrence really craked me up. "Yes i am Happy" & "thank God for me" :D
