Puccini.  One of my favorite songs of all time is Un Bel di, (One Fine Day), from Madame Butterfly.  I learned to sing it in both Italian and English and accompany myself on the piano, when I was in the 7th grade.  Every time I hear it, it makes me want to cry it's so stunningly beautiful.
