So glad this was resurrected. I needed to laugh! All so true! Hope you are doing well Bob...

I'm several years late but couldn't believe how on point these were.  I can relate to every single one hahaha - feels good that others can relate even though I wish NOONE had to go through this...

My good things about Benzo w/d

Save time and money on cosmetics, who cares how you look, cover the zits? Give me a break.

Who needs shampoo, soap and hair products  to take a shower is like climbing Mount Everest.

Get to see how long your toe nails can grow, never knew.

Get to see how gray your roots have gotten since you don't color your hair anymore. wow!

Just be grateful to put one foot in front of the other.

I can see what my natural hair color is now (and no wonder I changed it)

Less water wasted on showers, don't go out and see anyone I care about anyway

Get to experience what it feels like to be home 24/7 (mind numbing)

More time to find stupid stuff on the internet

More quality time with OCD tendencies thanks to obsessive weighing and calculating

Will never ever be stressed about anything ever again if I get through all this

Oh yeah, and I get to have a cool story about being a drug addict -_-

Wowie zowie, just found this thread....I got a giggle.  Didn't know that I could giggle any more.  I can hardly wait to be in a place to add to your lists.  But I certainly related to a lot of it!  Housebound, that would be me.

The absolute BEST thing is that we now have perspective; every other bad thing that can happen in life is NOTHING compared to this!

I SO agree Ginger!  I had surgery due to a torn achilles tendon a couple of years ago and that was a piece of cake compared to going through benzo w/d.

I (almost) agree with this Ginger. And I DID have a stroke, at the age of 33 (7 months ago). Yeah go figure, what makes me suffer? The benzo they gave me after that  :idiot:

But childbirth was definitely a walk in the park compared to benzo withdrawal

GB, you forgot to mention the fact that ( hopefully ) all of us here will be completely benzo free when the zombie apocalypse hits or when a solar flare knocks out the power grid. i mean who the hell wants to deal with benzo withdrawal when either of those two events are going on!
