LOL Bob,

thanks for the laugh, is always needed in my benzo world.

You can save money on batteries for that vibrator, when you're whole body never stops trembling. The energizer bunny that keeps on going. :yippee:

Better than Viagra, you can't relax enough to ever let your body go limp. :D

(oh boy I think my minds really in the gutter now yikes, I'm sure this will be deleted as I go hide now)

I think I'm starting  to see a pattern here, scooter......

Actually that reminds me of something funny that I read. I'll have to start a new thread ;)

Enough negativity....here are the 10 best things about withdrawal.

That is the best "re-framing" of the benzo withdrawal experience I've ever seen.  :2funny:  I'd add to it but not thinking too clearly today.  (If I were, I'd think of a way to turn it into a postive; I'm sure there's a way.  :D)

One way I tried to turn it into a positive is when I realized I had turned into the neurological equivalent of a basal thermometer.  Every little neuro response or interaction was so exaggerated that I quickly leaned how much the subtle things in life affected me.  For example, I took a medical test to see if I'd had a stroke.  They shine colored flickering lights onto your closed eyes.  Somehow, you can still see the colors even though your eyes are closed.  I was sitting there all hooked up to electrodes and doing fine with the blue and violet colors, then they started the yellow, orange and reds.  Before I even knew what was happening, the nurse leaned over and held my hand and reassured me it was ok.  Apparently, my blood pressure and heart rate had started racing. Within seconds I was uncontrollably crying, yet completely puzzled as to why.  I thought it was the strangest thing until I recently figured out all this gaba stuff.  So, I decided to expose myself to various stimuli to see how my nervous system would react. The hyperactive neuro responses helped me learn more about how the subtle things/people in life effect me.  I had previously purchased a bunch of red colored decorations for the kitchen thinking it would brighten things --- well, they are gone to GoodWill!

What could some post benzo WD, and during benzo WD tee-shirts?

Like, I took benzos, and I'll I got was this damn shirt (although that's not true, you'll be getting your life back)

I survived benzos

your significant other can wear one, I'm with stupid, he's on valium etc

My creativity and sense of humor is low right now, so take this one bob.

I don't know about t-shirts, but my wife wanted to get a milk carton with my picture on it and the caption "Have you seen this person." (I was just in lala land for about a month. She may as well have been living with a manequin)

NOTE: Part of me regrets posting this thread because there is so much suffering going on, and I'm sure some people read it and said to themselves, "what a jerk...I'm dying here and this guy's making jokes."

Some people HAVE lost jobs, and tinnitus is HELL, as is insomnia. I had panic attacks and they are not funny. But it's pretty cool, no one sent me a nasty message despite their pain and suffering, so in that there is hope.

I don't think there is one person that thinks that!  I think everyone is happy to have a break from the run of the mill post that deals with all the symptoms and the 24/7 suffering!  You've made a lot of people have a good, healthy belly laugh!

I say I want more!!!  ;D

And there were times in wd that I wanted my husband on the milk carton!   Many times I thought "If he says that one more time.....!"

And we would be signing this... ;D

Gosh no Bob,

don't think anyone would be offended at all. We're all suffering here, and need to laugh and this was perfect!!

I only wish you had more of it, like a daily tip for looking at this differently!!

Keep it up if you can ;)

No Bob, the humor and jokes is MUCH needed.  I was in the worst suffering last Sunday, crying my eyes out etc, read your post, and i started laughing my ass off.  Nothing wrong with getting some good endorphins and/or dopamine,, or whatever the hell laughing creates.

In all seriousness....

#11. The very BEST thing about benzo withdrawal is when it's all over, and after 120 days I think I'm there

Thanks for everyone's support through this whole ordeal, and I will continue to post random, ridiculous, and idiotic topics in the future (until Colin kicks me off the forum)

:yippee:  I'm thrilled for you!

Are you planning something radical for Colin to want to kick you off?  :)  You do think outside the box so what are you thinking about?  :)  I would love to know because I don't color inside the lines either.  ::)

Just what I needed today - a good laugh.  Definitely not offensive in any way.

One more to add from me:

12

Who needs Weight Watchers - eighteen months on benzos and I'm down three dress sizes!!

Of course this is written with the proviso that taking benzos is not the recommended way of losing weight, but hell there has to be some positives!!!

#13 -No longer have to wait till Halloween to get the BEJESUS scared out of ya!  -The equivalent of Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees is found behind every sneeze, car horn, and door slammed that you come into contact with.

Thanks for this post Bob definitely needed it! Big fan of #9 as well, as I was just thinking that yesterday!

14 - With a permanent hangover, you don't need to spend $ on alcohol

15 - You no longer need an excuse to lay in bed all day

16 - "Not tonight honey, I have a headache" is a legitimate excuse
