Thursday 25th April 2013

 

Today is ANZAC day here in Australia.  We are forever indebted to the men and women who fought so that we can live in a world free of oppression and violence.

Hi Staffy ,

 

Saw some of the parade on TV this morning. My grand father  survived Gallipoli but I've never been to Anzac Cove but might get there one day. 2015 is the centenary.

 

Loved the fuzzy fuzzy (Papuan) Kokoda track village chief in full regalia with bird of paradise headdress in the parade.

Hi Afra,

 

That was so cool wasn't it?  I'd love to go to Anzac Cove too for 2015, hopefully I'll be finished this taper by then :P
