I live in Aberdeen, a smallish city in the north east of Scotland.

It is a fishing port and the oil capital of Europe.  It is called the granite city because most of the buildings are made from granite from the local quarry.

This is King's College , founded in 1495, now part of the University of Aberdeen.  This place has many happy memories for me.

My childhood home. A small Scottish castle, dates from mid 16th century

We lived in the single storey wing, my parents worked for the owners

It was their holiday home  - fishing and shooting!!  :'( :'( :'(

Unlimited  freedom as s child but remote  :'(

Never met the resident ghost

Now in a lovely apartment in the city

Seattle

Mount Rainier in the background?

I have been to Seattle a few times.  I really like it there.

I will hunt up a nice picture of Calgary if I can find one.

Looking Forward.  I believe that I have seen pictures of that castle when I watch European golf. I can't remember which famous course is there and I may be totally wrong.

David. Any lovely pics of your beautiful Nina?

Hi Carol

I think you would have seen a different castle. They are all over Scotland. This one is not near any of the big golf courses. It is just a little castle but it seemed pretty big when I was a child.

HI Fluter

It was a great place to grow up until I was a teenager, then it was too remote.

I left school and went to London to work  ;D

When the IRA was bombing London!!  :'(

LF  >:D
