You have very eclectic taste in movies, E.  I haven't met many people who have even seen Plan 9; it was on TV a few months back and I made a friend watch it.  I never get tired of seeing it.  ;);D

Planet of the Apes

Flipper

I knew there was a reason I liked you, Keith.  Yeah, Planet of the Apes, both versions.  I think the 2nd one portrays chimps in a bad light but that could just be me.  Flipper is another good choice.  Right on bro!!!

I like all of those except I haven't heard of "Daniel Deronda".  Also, I'd add The Matrix and Star Wars (the first of each) to the SciFi/Fantasy list for me.  ;D  Have you seen Wall-E yet?  Very cute and amazing animation.

I loved Wall-E!  The only cgi film that ever made me emotional!

Daniel Deronda is a BBC production.  It's actually a series of 4 episodes (think, it could be six)  It's based on a George Eliot novel.  It's probably my favorite period film.

Hi Sagemom,

Wow, that's a really good list.  I have heard of almost all of them, but believe it or not I haven't seen any of them!  Until I got down to the SciFi section - love all those.  KPAX - glad you liked it, me too.  I have to rent it every year!  I think a lot of people here would like KPAX.

Take care,

Elwood

I've seen most on sagemom's list.....other musicals I love are Chicago, Annie, and Mamma Mia!.

Two of my all time favorite movies are 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil', and 'Michael.'

I just saw Mamma Mia!, it was really good.  I didn't know I could enjoy ABBA songs so much!

Another musical I just love is Gigi.  I've loved it since I was a little girl.

I've seen two versions of Wuthering Heights.  The second was better I believe.  It was a British production whereas the first one I saw I believe was American (Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche).  There were things that were better about the American one though.  It didn't omit the beginning of the book where the narrator visits Wuthering Heights, and the part where he's staying in Cathy's old room and has a nightmare about her coming through the window.  That story has always made me feel creeped out.  Too much of the supernatural.

" THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL" -the original one with Michael Rennie-BLUE THUNDER-ROY SCHEIDER

All time classic - freaked me out and I loved it.  I memorized that "KLAPTU" whatever phrase to deactivate the robot in case I needed it... LOL.  Too bad I forgot it.  Oh well, I still run fast....
