Hi WA,  Thank you for posting this.  What a handsome man!  The pics unfolds the story of these two wonderful beings, how ones can rise through a tough time and win life again.

 

I was a volunteer with the USO in Sf during the Vietnam War, mainly at the amputee wards at the military hspts in the SF Bay Area.  I met so many wonderful young men in the same situation.  I was against that war, though, I stayed in support for those young men.  A wonderful memory... Many of the wonderful fellows, when they got their new leg(s) and arms.... They asked if we would dance with them in the halls of the hspt.  This was a joy for each of us.  I volunteered from age 17 - 20
