Hi Megan,

OMG what beautiful eyes Cleo has!!!! she is gorgeous.

DD, I'd love to have that many kittens to play with, so adorable.

Lil, is that your cat behind the tree??? It's so beautiful too!!!!

I always had problems sexing the cats more that anything because mine didn't let me "see" their privates LOL. I learned later online how to do it. With Enrique I thought she was a he because it looked exactly like her dad. I only figured it out it was a girl when she was in heat and Mr Jay didn't leave her alone.  I had another cat that I named Ulysses thinking she was a boy. Well She ended up being Mr Jay's formal girlfriend after he got neuter LOL. They sleep cuddling together all the time. Ulysses is very insecure and Mr Jay is a playboy, the perfect couple LOL. Ulysses was very sick when she arrived. She had not hair and could barely move because of the weakness. After a few months of eating twice a day she got gorgeous. Oh boy how I miss my feral family  :'(

No Laura,

The little kitten under the Christmas tree belongs to a friend of mine.  Sweet isn't she... her little, skinny neck all drawn out like that as she looks at the ornaments and lights!

Right now we have one little kitty with us.  We call her Mama Kitty because she had kittens at the neighbor's before she moved herself to our home all on her own.  I was thrilled to have her come to live with us almost 11 years ago.  She is tiny, just about 6 pounds, and she is a complete Love!  She has seen us through the W/D and so much more.  Bless her little kitty heart.  Here is Mama Kitty's photo.  See... just little and very sweet!

Less than 3 years ago we had 3 indoor kitties, one inside/outside bigger dog named Happy and one outside kitty that was after 2 years just getting tame enough to come in and live with us before he disappeared.  So, we lost a lot of family during the last few years and look forward to growing our family back to a larger size as soon as I am more well.  We hope to adopt older cats between 7 and 10 years old because they have less chance of being adopted and yet are so needy and sweet.  Plus... we are now too old to keep up with kittens!!!  lol or maybe not so much!  I would like to get 2 or 3 that have been together in a former home and now are needing a new home.  Seldom can a family take in that many at once but it is so great if they can stay together!  When I am well, we could take that many and keep them all together.  Oh I so want to!  As my healing comes... I am getting excited about our new family members!  I wonder who they are and where they are right now!

Thank you for sharing the stories of your cats.  I love the photo of Mr. Jay and Ulysses!

Take care as you begin work again tomorrow on your home.  Best wishes for you and hubby's New Year!

Love,

:smitten:

Lily

Another photo of our Mama Kitty... she slept in this little bed which was on a dresser beside my bed for a very long time before she decided she could sleep beside me on my bed... I do love that!

Awww Lil, Mama Kitty is sooooo adorable!!!! What a great thing that you want to adopt older cats and more than anything a few of them at the time. Most people prefer kittens and don't even pay attention to the sweet older ones. I'm excited for your new family, the one you have to meet yet too

Hugs to you, KP and MK. Love

Thank you, Laura,

I appreciate your sweet words about my little Love.  And we are excited, too, to meet our new family of kitties.

I bet you are hard at it again working on your home.  I am so in awe of you and your hubby being able to do the work yourselves.  So amazing!

Below is another photo of little MK.  Isn't it so amazing how much we can form a bond of love with our little furry family.  What a gift they are to us.

Love and Hugs back to you,

:smitten:

Hi Carol

I was totally amazed at the photo as one I did not have my reading glasses on and just took the picture not knowing the outcome. we bought the camera off our eldest son as he upgraded his . I have never taken so many photos before, it is the best thing that has been invented the digital camera.

The amount of money we wasted on prints because they were not worth keeping. Sooty and Sweep are fast asleep between hubby and me, when I was putting my groceries away Sweep thought he would help as usual.  Carol have you ever heard of a cat that as soon as you open the freezer door comes running and sunbathes in front of the cool air :D

Awwww Sweep and Sooty what an adorable, beautiful, sweet pair you are. Thanks Mama DD for taking the pics and sharing them with us.

Carol, my poor Geronimo doesn't know what to do with this heat. He have 38 C today and we can't stand it, neither he can. I'm thinking of giving him a cold bath. He looks miserable.  Maybe I should put him front the fridge door  :o.

Geronimo can come and sit in front of the freezer and cool off, I am sure I have one of Sweep rolling in front of the freezer sunbathing

You will not believe this fellow cat lovers hubby was looking at clips of a two cats meowing at each other, Sweep suddenly looked to see where the noise was coming from and realised it was coming from the lap top, he then crept nearer to the screen then jumped off our couch an looked behind the lap top, who ever said that cat's don't understand.

Hi Carol

My Georgie was a boy, we hand reared him from the age of 3 weeks old and he had a lovely mane, he was black and white he was found under a market stall and we took him in.

Sooty and Sweep are the first cats in well over 25 years.

We bought something today and Sweep is eating away and spitting out the cardboard box it came in, we bought some paint brushes and yes he pinched one and ran off with it, he is a terror yet Sooty is nothing like him, yet they are brothers. I am so glad we had two cats as they keep each other company.

Our first Georgie was male but the second one was female.

I saw a little street urchin bouncing on a trampoline with this little kitten in her hand.

I was horrified. She was just 4 weeks old. I knew that I had rescue this kitty from her.

I had too nurse her too. her stool had blood in it.  Anyways she was a really beautiful grey and white cat.

Will look tomorrow for pics.
