Help with a Xanax titration schedule

Hey all,

 

I want to get in on this 1mg/day titration thing, seems perfect.

 

I'm currently taking .3125mgs of Xanax per day (that's .125 in the morning, .0625 in the afternoon and .125 at night). I have a 100ml cylinder, 1ml markings, pill crusher, pretty much everything to do this. Ready to start this Saturday.

 

I guess my question is: At this dose, do you think dropping 1ml a day is the way to go? Or would you recommend anything faster/slower?

 

Edit: Just realized; I don't want to have to be dealing with mixing the afternoon dose; I'd rather be able to go out in the afternoons. I either want to taper that one faster, or keep it in pill form.

Hell - is it possible to taper off one dose at a time - middle first, then late night, leaving only the morning?

I did not titrate so I can't help you with those issues. Also I was on valium which has a much longer half life.  Just hang on, some of the xanax taperers will come around and answer your question.  I am not sure but I think it would be hard with xanax to taper one dose at at time.  The interdose withdrawals could be tough. I'll try to find some info for you.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I get withdrawls/cravings around every 5 hours and am not sure if stopping that dose would extend that time.
