Nine Letter word game

Some clever words there Carlton

All in my dictionary. Lairy started off in the 1930s, earlier was Cockney slang.

To delete you can use 'modify' at top right of your post.

But only for a limited time. I think 24 hours

Game 8

Find as many words as you can from these nine letters.

Each word must be at least four letters long and must contain the 'hub' letter. In this case 'Y'.Letters given can only be used once in each word.

You cannot use plurals, foreign words or 'proper' nouns but verb forms ending in 's' are allowed.

Both English or American spellings are allowed but NOT of the same word in one game.

There is at least one nine letter word.

Abbreviations don't count.

'Urban Dictionary' words, slang and exclamations are NOT encouraged.

Medical words - see Reply #206 on: 8th June 2012

(Mmmm. the rules get longer!) Is it too complex to work??

Game 8 -    The target in this case is 35+ words.

Please read the rules

Hi Carlton, I have rectified my error. I did see it but it slipped through when I modified the list. :tickedoff:

Did you invent a new game then M?

Can you tell me the principle rules please? ;)

Well, I'd be glad to let you in on my little secret which heretofore I've been squirreling away like a dried little nut:

Just take massive amounts of Valium for over 10 years and then go through a cold turkey withdrawal. This will sufficiently lower your brain cell count to about 2, and you too will be able to invent games for which the winning answer is and always be:  Whoops. *

* not to be confused with our dear friend Whoopsie, whom I haven't heard from in many days.

roily

And I will head you off before you ask:

roil·y    (roil) KEY

ADJECTIVE:

roil·i·er, roil·i·est

Full of sediment; muddy or cloudy.

Turbulent; agitated.

Hi Pablo ,

I'm afraid Challis already got 'roily'. I missed putting it on the list.

loamy and  floaty are good.
