Hey guys  :smitten:

I love all your pets. They all are so adorable. I really don't know what I'd do without my baby.

Here is a picture of Geronimo at 5-6 days of life. I have him since he was 2 days old. My boss found him on the street and gave it to me. The pics are blurry, the camera was bad  :tickedoff:

Here he is a few days older.

And here he is now, a few pounds heavier

How cute is he and you bottle fed him as well.

I'll have to show this to my daughter, she loves kittens.

Hey Debbie  :smitten:

I had to bottle feed them  and wipe his tiny butt . It was so nice to have him since he was so little. I had to feed them every 3 hours at night just like any baby . The best experience ever!!! I'd love to have another one as little as him. I'm ready for another baby  :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

No on second thoughts I'm way too old but a kitten, maybe  :-\

I regularly babysit my daughter's kitty.

In my past life I worked in animal rescue, and I feel that older cats can make the best pets, especially for older adults.  It's like they know you have rescued them!  When it was clear my mom's cat was terminally ill I brought her a cat that had been left in the parking lot at my vet's office.  He was probably about 5 years old.  He was very spunky and a little wild, but she grew to adore him.  I inherited him after my mom passed away, and he passed away a couple of years ago.  I still miss him.

After my mother-in-law was widowed for the 2nd time I found a beautiful abandoned seal point snow shoed Siamese cat for her.  He didn't get along with other pets, so I knew he had to be the only pet in a home.  She had never owned a cat before, and was really freaked out when I brought him to her house.  That was about 5 years ago.  He has now become the love of her life.  Whenever I talk to her most of our conversation is about "Boots".  He jumps up on her bed and helps her "make it" every morning by smoothing the covers with his paws.  He also rules the roost.  She talks about him like he is her child.  It just warms my heart.

What lovely stories jrvmc,

I know where you're coming from here. We are all animal lovers and always have had pets since my daughter was born. She is now grown up and has a cat of her own.

We just have 2 canaries now and I have to say I miss the pet "walking" round.

Really think I'll consider getting a cat myself.

Must have been wonderful working for the animal rescue, bet you fell in love with a few there.

Debbie  :)

Thanks for offering to share the weather, Deborah. Since I wrote the weather sharing request it has dropped to 3C with winds and rain. Very kind. Perhaps when you don't need it anymore, I can take it, if Oscar has enough to share.

Beautiful pictures of the baby! Also, such a good animal rescue story. I sometimes think my dog knows he was rescued, too. Don't know how to describe it, but I think it is true.

Hi. It's a deal - I will have about an extra inch to send your way! I laugh, but really, I love deserts, but just don't get the same thrill as being in the woods on a lake.

I'll take the woods on a lake any day over the desert.  My neighborhood is actually kind of like an oasis in the desert-huge pine trees and lakes.  It doesn't look like AZ at all!

Hi Y'all,

May I interupt this pet thread with a couple of photos from my earlier Spring garden?

These little irises bloom very early, sometimes in February even.

I am afraid I have as many flower photos as pet ones!  Oh Dear!
