That Bob song is one of my all time faves of any artist.  It makes me feel good. 

 

That Band of Horses song was pretty...but sad.  It's like how someone feels exactly after it falls apart and still loves the other person...but before they've gotten to the "you're just 'somebody that I used to know'" stage!  Of course I want my bf to feel that no one could ever love me more than him ...but not to ever have felt that way for someone else!  <sigh>  Love.

Great selections! Gotye was on Saturday Night Live last night. They did a great rendition of "Somebody That I Used to Know."

 

I've been a fan of Metric, and the Stars. But I think that is the first time I've seen what Metric actually looks like. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the variation we're getting here. Imagine a dj at a bar actually trying to mix all this! Would be pretty wild.

 

I once heard a dj spin Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner" (Da da da da...) with an acapella version of Pharcyde's "Running Away" over it. It's one of those things that doesn't seem like it should work, but it ended up being really great.

My brother's band, Linus, shot a tongue-in-cheek video for their song "Hold on, Hold on." This was actually filmed on a beach that is only accessible via a treacherous 11 mile hike, or a kayak trip. Really nice beach / valley. I've been in there 3 or 4 times, and it reminds me a lot of that movie "The Beach." There are some outlaws who live in the valley, which you can see in the video. Nice song.
