i like the wholesome girl next door look.....heres when my two honeys were chubby....i dont like real beautiful women who look like you could break them in two if your not careful.......big bones and hips.....something to grap onto without fear of injury :laugh::thumbsup:

I have often wondered if men really like women as skinny as many celebreties have become lately.  Glad to know at least one doesn't.  ;D

Hi Marnie:

 

Wow, you have assembled quite a collection. I have to say I have always thought that Audrey Hepburn was the pinnacle of female beauty -- she had beauty, grace, style, elegance and, despite all that, an endearing sense of humility. For me, beauty is more than skin deep and she certainly had a lot of substance under that beautiful skin of hers!

 

Regarding the men, I shall have to think about that. You brought up some great guys I had not initially thought of -- Robert Redford, Mel Gibson, George Clooney, Liam Neeson. Neeson really does make my heart go pitter patter! Another is Harrison Ford.

Marnie, That pic you posted of Angelina Jolie  a couple pages back .. WOW!!!!!!!!

Her eyes are awesome! and I just saw the movie "wanted", with her in it last week..

Looka this, Hope. This is what I mean about our Dame Helen Mirren. The photograph was taken just last week. She's sixty-frickin' three, for goodness sake!!!!  :o She has'nt let a surgeon with a rusty blade near her and just LOOK at her!  :o  Woman eau naturale..... :)

The Helen Mirren pic was all over the press last week.  Can you believe *some people* actually thought it was slightly photo shopped!  No-one here of course...  ;)  I used to have a tenant who worked for a photographic agency that did the touch ups.  This was AFTER they had been in the photo studio and had the most professional pictures taken and airbrushed and everything.  Then they would send them to him to make them look slimmer, reshape their noses, change colours of things etc.  He told me that Gwen Stefani is very particular about the shade of her lipstick and when he is given a photo of her, he has to redo her lips to match the colour she wants.  It was so amazing when he showed me some of the before and after pictures of celebs.  From what I learnt, a huge amount of the pics that we see are not 'as is'.  They are 'played with' before they get released to the public.  And the so called 'unaware' shots'?  The celebs are almost always aware when the paps are nearby.

 

Having said all that, I too think Helen is the bomb, with or without her clothes ( although I do prefer her with them on as in The Queen) ... as do many of my male friends -  and I do not  know anyone who seriously finds Victoria Beckham  attractive.

There are few who could'nt care less how they're seen with or without their slap. Jamie Lee Curtis is one of 'em. And Miss Victoria? Well, wherever she goes she takes her makeup artist and hairdresser to do her touch-ups, even to the shops!  :o  Real beauty comes from within and not how we paint ourselves.  And anyway, like my auld ma used to say "there's many a pile of shite wrapped-up in bonny paper".  ;)
