My ears started ringing.  Is this normal? Why would this start 11 months after I am off? Will it go away?

Very weird you get this now!

I had tinnitus bad but it got better after a few months. It's very common.

 It is a normal symptom.

I didn't get the loud ringing episodes until almost two years off. For me it only last for hours at a time, when it hits.
