Itching all over...is this a WD symptom?

After taking 1mg clonazepam for 15 years to help with insomnia, I began tapering very slowly in Jan 2023.  I'm now down to .2mg. About 2 months ago I started itching all over my body including on my hands, fingers, toes, head, back, etc. I've been to the dermatologist, and he didnt find anything. I dont have a rash or anything visible, just itching all over.  Is this a common symptom that others have experienced? I never know when these weird things pop up if its related to benzo WD or if its something else. If this is something that others have experienced was there anything that seemed to ease the itching? It's driving me nuts!  Thanks for the help!

I've had itching on my face, mostly around the eyes, for the past 2 months or so.  I'm not sure if it has anything to do with being in benzo recovery or not.  It may just be allergy.  I take Benadryl on occasion, and that seems to help.  Have you tried that to see if it would help?

@[so...] itching can be a withdrawal symptom indeed, I've had it around my nose, on my face, scalp, torso, etc. I have never had this before withdrawal and I have heard others discussing this - but haven't found much information on it on benzo websites.

It is getting a bit better though, like all those symptoms. Wish it was faster though...

Highly probable, yes. I had it during a few weeks I believe, when I was trying to taper off oxazepam. I had also pretty uncomfortable symptoms from a short use of antipsychotics in hospital, but I'd rather think it was already wd from tapering, since it began a little bit after I entered it. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything to alleviate. Since it must be due to nerves inflammation, I guess we'd rather wait patiently !

Hi @[so...],

Yes, definitely a withdrawal symptom for me.  Everywhere and random.  It happens a lot at night for me, and unfortunately, I haven't found anything that really helps either, except time.
