Horrible head symptoms getting worse!

@[je...], if it were me, I would go ahead and make the jump, echoing what others have said. You are well below the safe threshold according to Dr. Heather Ashton. I jumped at .05 mg clonazepam, which is the Ashton equivalent of 1 mg diazepam, and I'm glad I did. I could not taper any further. It was too mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually challenging, and I did no worse after jumping. My 19.5-month taper was beyond difficult.

That is also my guideline.

That's a good guideline, generally speaking - but not so much when you are already well below the safe jump off dose, which is the case in this thread.

Hi @[he...],

May I ask did you also suffer from dp / dr, intrusive thoughts and SI? I am currently on 0.79mg of diazepam and these symptoms are fairly new to me and freaking me out, I want so badly to be rid of them, but petrified of tapering further… 🙈

Hi @[...]

May I ask, while still on the benzo, did you suffer from dp/dr, intrusive thoughts and SI as well? I am currently on 0.79mg diazepam and these symptoms are relatively new and completely freak me out, I so hope to get rid of them once I’m off, but like @[je...] I’m currently stuck, afraid to go forward, backwards or stand still.. 🙈

Hi, @[Mo...], i had some intrusive thoughts but my main mental symptom was overwhelming fits of OCD, which i never had before. I think, for some reasons, those symptoms can vary from person to person while their chemical nature is always the same and most often doesn't have anything to do with us. Such mental bending definitely passes over time and i hope it'll be for you the same way as for me - straight away after the tapering.

I understand my words, 'Please, don't be freaked out, it's not you but benzo lying to you' won't help much at the moment but for me, that thought was like an anchor when it all felt most overwhelming.

If you want to get off altogether, then, like jewels2, you are at a low enough dose (under 1mg of Valium) to just stop.
