Toxic nap advice

Recommended Posts

I am over medicated right now in the mornings.  It is so hard for me to get through the day without a nap.  However - I do tend to have more physical anxiety symptoms post nap.  Heart beating, crying.  Does anyone nap yet manage it with exercise or breathing? Am I not going to stabilize if I continue to nap? Any advice appreciated.

I’ve never come across anyone in forums discussing benzos and psychiatric medications who says they don’t stabilize from napping. Many people wish they could nap more often. I relate to experiencing symptoms after a nap. I have napped maybe four times in the last two years since coming off benzos. Most of those naps have been from forced lack of sleep. If you can nap, it likely means your body is signaling a need for extra sleep.

I can’t nap no matter how little I’ve slept. I was able to a few week ago but no longer. Listen to your body and nap if you can and deal with the anxiety that happens afterwards with breathing exercises/ normal exercise

Remember naps like a wet dream.
