Benzo wise doctors in the uk?

Recommended Posts

I know this is a long shot since a lot of people on here are from different countries but does anyone know how to find a psyc drug doctor in the uk? Or just any kind of real support From the medical world, or organisations? I'm in the north east specificly. My doctors are shit and I hate them:laugh:

If you find any, I hope there better than the smart-asses in the states. My GP assured me my withdrawals were over in 6 to 8 weeks, the little pinhead bastard. Then after 3 months of horrible eye pain and light sensitivity, seeing an optimist and a retna specialist the same. Oh no Sir , that probably lasted about 8 weeks.

The ENT Dr actually laughed. I'm 68 , but I wanted to slap him so bad.

Hang in there buddy

@[jo...] no I never did. My PCP didn't "get it" or want to. I had to get a new provider, an NP who at least read the Ashton Manual and let me plan my own taper. Sad.

Hi @[or...] How did you go about finding a new provider?

I pray you find a Doctor with more smarts than your Met Police chief and his talk of extradition.  He's never heard of the 1st amendment.

I knew I wanted a Nurse Practitioner (I had heard that they are  more patient-friendly than docs, or psychiatrists or psychologists) , so I just  started phoning around. I was lucky that there were a few taking new patients, so I met with her, told her what I needed, and gave her the Ashton Manual. She agreed to help me with a taper, and continued to be on my side as long as, as she said "the general direction is down". It was pretty easy.
