I am sorry for all the suffering you are going through. If this is indeed MS then I hope treatment and management options can help bring you relief.

It can be such a cruel disease, but since almost 2 million people are affected by it there has been a lot of attention and research. There may be some breakthroughs on the horizon.

You eventually will need to get beyond the shock/grief stage. If this was an official diagnosis then you may want to look into counseling to help change your negative mindset into one more conducive to accepting/managing something like MS.

Good afternoon!

I am very sorry that you have to experience such symptoms and such a disease, BUT medicine has now stepped far ahead, and with treatment your symptoms may decrease or disappear altogether. I'm sure you'll feel better.

Perhaps you should consider medical methods of overcoming bad emotional symptoms and discuss them with your doctor.

The brain is very good at compensating. There are a lot of examples when children are given cerebral palsy at birth at level 4-5, and go to level 1-2.

As long as you have time, you have to fight! Just like we're all here. It is very difficult for me to imagine what you are experiencing at the moment, but try to stay calm and start treatment in accordance with the recommendations of your doctors.

I also heard that the activity of the disease helps to relieve plasmaphoresis.

Do not despair, it will be better if you are under the supervision of doctors and lie down for inpatient treatment for additional examination and selection of therapy!

Please write how you will feel over time

It is quite possible that WD coincided with the debut of your disease.

Man did you strike the unlucky straw :( I feel for you and wish you the best of luck.
I could not have been so far off myself just a few weeks ago and 4.5 years ago, gladly that is not the case but im also within the medical field for my most severe symptom so fingers crossed it gets found and treated well or that its all benzo from here on out.
anyway not going to talk about that.
Down to business
This doctor on youtube is very helpful imo when it comes to MS >>

There is thing called MS diet. LOok IT up!! It generally is about controlling inflammation in your body, cutting back on meat and eating lots of veggies.
get treatment like fysio, psych support, and probably a medication but check with your doctor and with us on here as well.
Perhaps steroids but your neurologist will help with that.
THis women is also helpful

And then lastly there might be a cure on the horizon ! to help it stop progression any further and gives your body rest to recover.

I cant find a better link but it was about using the MRnA vaccination technology in order to tell our immune system to stop attacking said protein from a virus that is long gone but nearly matches the Myelin Sheath protein.

We are on the brink of doing something similar with cancer.

Hang in there! and much love send towards you.
Do you mind me asking in what country you live ?

Yes. I also think the psych meds cover symptoms.

I’m so sorry. This is all so so hard and relentless for too long that people should have to suffer.
I have heard over the four plus years u e been dealing with all this so many people being diagnosed with medical conditions mimicking illnesses and diseases. As people have healed from psych meds, these diagnoses disappear. Of course there are always things that can happen health wise to us as we travel this road, but if it were me if possible, I’d get a second opinion.

i have heard of numerous people having bloodwork and scans indicate they have lupus, MS, RA, hormone issues, people have had spinal surgeries, etc etc and come to find out some of those people magically didn’t have those issues anymore a couple years off benzos.
in four years I was diagnosed with 20+ medical diagnoses one being seronegative RA (20% of casss are this where bloodwork looks ok but ultrasound shows the inflammation)  earlier this year…. I don’t believe I actually have it. I think the inflammation from thr psych meds I was on and the last one I was put on in Dec made my joints all stiffen up (it’s a mirtazpine side effect), I was 5mo off benzo at time of ultrasound so think inflammation post benzo was also high….so for now I am doing hand and foot ultrasounds every 6mo to monitor but will not start the meds the rheumatologist advised bc I don’t believe I really have it and don’t want to risk meds as I have akathisia already and nothing is worth that getting worse.

I say all this as it’s great and I’m fully in belief to check into stuff thru this process as I always did to get the peace of mind…. But have seen and heard so many stories about diagnoses for people that have magically (to drs) gone away after healing off the psych meds.

so it’s great you’re doing your due diligence, I’m sorry things are so horrific, it’s so inhumane. I was bedbound and very very sick for a lot of time and last year almost didn’t make it and want to say our bodies can and do heal from the med stuff.
So this might not be 100% MS…. See what a second Dr thinks  and then what options there are if it is, that are the more natural homeopathic way to help your body given you have issues post benzos where your body might not be ready to take on new meds just yet.

explain you’ve had a neurotoxicity to benzos and so taking things very carefully to manage if you do have MS is what you need your treatment team to be aware of.

side note- Please be careful trying vaccines or steroids post benzos as they can cause extreme setbacks. Drs are quick to throw things out and move to the next patient so find a nurse or Dr willing to listen to the neurotoxicity to benzos you encountered and that your nervous system is still fragile and you need to talk thru all options with them knowing that piece.

ill be saying prayers that the scan was a bad scan and that it’s not actually MS, but good job looking into your health and getting things checked out bc we can’t ahead chalk it up to med issues.
sending lots of hugs
