Love for family is dying

I love my niece and nephew so much, but I don’t know what’s wrong with me ? I can no longer bond with them? I am going through depression during this taper. But I don’t seem to love them as I use too. This must be taper ? What do I do has anyone been through this

@[An...]I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this. What you're describing is something that many people experience during a taper. It's not that you don't love your niece and nephew; it’s the taper and the depression that are making it hard for you to feel that connection right now. These medications can affect our emotions in ways we don’t expect, and it’s incredibly tough.

Please know that you're not alone in this—many others have gone through similar experiences and come out the other side. The love you have for them is still there, even if it feels different at the moment. Have you spoken to a doctor or therapist about these feelings? They might have some strategies to help you manage this difficult time.

In the meantime, try to be kind to yourself and remember that this is temporary. It doesn’t define who you are or the love you have for your family. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s more than enough.
