Benzo belly

Recommended Posts

I used 20mg diazepam daily for about 12 months I quit 6 months ago. I went down from 20mg daily to nothing in the space of 2 weeks. I also stopped alcohol at the same time I was a heavy drinker. Since then I haven’t been able to eat too much and I have a lot of belching. And I get nausea quite a lot but it’s if I have to leave the house and once I’m home it gets better in about half an hour. I have had endoscopy and other tests everything came back fine. So I’ve been told I have functional dyspepsia. But could it be benzo belly?

I would appreciate any replies thank you

Hello @[...]. Welcome to BenzoBuddies.

I can't respond properly right now, as I am about to leave the house. But I expect other members will be along soon to welcome and provide you with some feedback. I'll add, though, the kind of protracted symptoms you describe are pretty common around here. But you did the right thing by having other possible causes ruled out.
